In 2023, the National Citizens Inquiry embarked on an unprecedented journey, hosting 24 days of hearings across 8 cities in Canada. Over 300 brave witnesses stepped forward to testify about the profound impact of COVID-19 policies enforced by the Canadian government. Their stories painted a vivid picture of the challenges faced by our communities.

The members of Citizens Inquiry Canada again express their heartfelt appreciation to the tens of thousands of Canadians who financially contributed to make the NCI 2023 happen and accomplish all that has been achieved to date. In full recognition that each of NCI's contributors are stakeholders in this ongoing national effort, the financial statements for our initial year of operation, along with the report of the independent auditors can be viewed at this link.

Since September 2023, our commitment to advancing our follow-on mandate has remained unwavering: to foster the swift and effective implementation and adoption of the NCI's report recommendations by relevant authorities. This endeavor has necessitated additional expenditures, including the ongoing translation of the entire report into French, expenses related to the auditor's report, and continual communication efforts.

As we venture into 2024, our mission remains clear: to implement the commissioners' recommendations and pave the way for a brighter future. But we can't do it alone. We need your support.
